The Goodpasture Percussion Ensemble is an instrumental ensemble devoted strictly to the realm of percussion. This ensemble is a spring semester activity and is open to students in grades 7-12. The percussion ensemble studies and performs a wide variety of music, from traditional percussion ensemble literature to modern pop/rock tunes arranged for percussion, and everything in between. The Goodpasture Percussion Ensemble presents a spring concert in the Fine Arts Auditorium as well as a performance at the Solo & Ensemble Festival. Most recently, the Goodpasture Percussion Ensemble received a “superior” rating at the Solo & Ensemble Festival. In the spring of 2007, the ensemble entered competition in the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Scholastic Concert A Class and had a very successful season.
