The “Goodpasture Marching Cougars” is an extracurricular instrumental & visual ensemble that is active during the fall semester. This is an audition-based group open to students from 7th-12th grade. The Marching Cougars perform at home football games in the stands in support of our team and at half time for the entertainment of the audience. In addition to home football games, the band travels to a few away games and also maintains an active competition schedule. The Marching Cougars have a long tradition of success as Tennessee Division I State competitors, having been awarded “1st place Champion” on multiple occasions. The 2007 production was “Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba”, featuring the following selections: “Distorted” “Reve Rouge” “A La Lune” and “Urban”.
