Certain high school students, who have expressed a desire to pursue this field of study in the future, can now choose to take a course in video production for a fine arts credit.
State-of-the-art equipment is utilized to ensure that our students are learning with the best possible available technology. Two Mac Pros, the Final Cut Studio 2 program, two Acer 20” LCD widescreen monitors, a Canon zr850 camera, a Canon x12 camera, and a Seinnhesier Boom Mic are only some of the items from the long list of new equipment purchased for this class.
Throughout this course, students produce several short promotional films for various student groups and have the technology to produce DVDs of student productions. They are required to write, storyboard, direct, shoot, and edit these films independently and in a group. As a result, these students gain valuable time management and leadership skills while working on individual and group projects.
